Local elections in Ormoc City, Leyte will be held on May 9, 2016 within the Philippine general election. The voters elected for the elective local posts in the city: the mayor, vice mayor, one Congresswoman for the province' 4th district, and the councilors.

Incumbent city mayor Edward Codilla will run for re-election on his post, he will run against his opponent in the 2013 election race, actor and sportsman Richard Gomez.
